its a Yaheee thing.

Okay, so there's these guys....I think they're pretty cool lol. They go by the name of Yaheee Ent.- An Uptown, Bronx, New York based organization which satisfies the mere existence of the urban community.

By providing a sound that reflects the ideals & desires of our free spirited generation, in addition to designing t-shirts to be worn by many- Yaheee Ent. has claimed its place in the hip-hop community; well at least in NY.
I feel the time has come to expand this movement. Being that I am stationed in Houston, I havent had the pleasure of meeting them all but my dude Ev Easy put me "on." Not your average "clique" Yaheee Ent. is making big things happen. Known for their exclusive parties in the Big Apple, they have attained city-wide recognition.

A lot of people are discouraged when told to try or hear something new- whether it be because they are afraid, or because they might feel as if it may be too "trendy." The personality exhibited by Yaheee Ent. is proof that their
future will not be subjected to the limitations of a trend.

the trend continues...

weary eyed as i attempt to recover from the "elements." my intentions were modest i sware. (sp) anywhoo its mother's day, and i must say I have the best mother by far. Sorry if that offends you. So I go to the self-car wash up the street and as I vacuum the inside of my whip I see this:
idk man. to be honest the moment i saw it i laughed a little..then on the ride home I started thinking how much this picture symbolized a portion of my childhood. People were (and still are) quick to assume that because im from the suburbs my life has been easy. Though I havent had a traumatizing, life-changing experience I think my surroundings have had a huge impact on my personality. Growing up we (my fam) were the only blacks on the block. My best friend(s) were hispanic up until I reached grade school. Shout out to Valerie lmao. Opportunities passed us by forcing us to think it was something WE did. On the contrary it was just because we invaded "their space." Thank god my parents enrolled me in school in Houston's school district, if not im sure life would suck! I remember being called nigger on various occassions. I specifically remember the look on those kids faces when they said it. Honestly, I didnt care...I knew that I would be able to hold it against them or rebel if i needed to. I was a youngin who understood the principles but didnt necessarily understand why. All i knew is that if someone said it to me, I would be forced to make them cry.

I dont think the severity of the word will ever get back to how it was, but at the same time I dont fault those who use it. As far as my opinion goes: it will always be used but im tired of whites attempting to make it derogatory again. We (our people) use this word daily, and yeah we might be pissed when YOU say it but dont for a second think you have hurt our feelings. You using the word merely reflects your ignorance, incompetence, all around stupidity.

dang.

btw Rockets vs. Lakers 52-77 right now. didnt want to boast on fb (avoding attention from the haters) but ALREADY! lol. [AARON BROOKS. you better do that] damn && yao got a broke foot. Rocket-ball.
Sincerely,
Danielle.

the accessory.

radiation in my toes flowing up to the veins in my neck, the thought of us being one is something i try hard to forget. thirty days but countless nights, yeah your presence was there. Daily im trying to rationalize to make everything seem clear. Too long had come and gone but the routine remained. Consistency and the passion was the only thing that kept me sane. Confident is just a front that makes us think we feel good. In reality we all have insecurities but keep them muted as we should. Man, lets be real...theres nothing 'there'. You bringing our past to the presence is something i fear. Just because it worked once doesnt guarantee its place. Everybody is different despite what they may say. I love the love that loves to love...its tighter than than his hands during an intense back rub. the time is now eventhough its never ending. No matter what you're going through I cant help this feeling. One day well enter a world where our desires outweigh our needs but until then i have to keep following my dreams.

originality consists in trying to be like everybody else -- and failing.

i once heard that originality is conclusively "undetected plagiarism." Yeah, in some cases that might be true but for some people that idea is far fetched. // them basik boys.

Its weird writing this because it truly hits home. Ive had the chance to watch these boys grow into men and take their business with them. I sat back as a spectator as they took an idea and turned it into a movement.

If you dont know already (which im sure you do) I am talking about Basik Art Clothing. A company established in October of 2002 by 2 weird ass young men by the names of Picasso and Shoota Mac-Mane. lol j.k they're alright.

Like erykah I could go on and on but ima try & keep it short. I have a lot of followers who dont live in Texas, so my purposes are strictly informative. (def not a bsk bop)

Basik Art Clothing is a clothing line whose continuity and success is based on originality. "When art duplicates into fashion--Basik Art Originals."

What can i say man...they put on for the city of H-town. After providing streetwear for countless artists, celebs, and not to mention 90% of Houston's urban population....Basik Art has turned a trend into an accepted style.
by Snake-o.

Yeah, with anything innovative hatred follows but the $$ speaks for itself (or so it should). With basik art no two shirts are alike. After putting on a whole gang of artists, the possibilities are endless. I dont know them all but one thing I can say about the ones I do know: its not a game.

If I can find my first BSK shirt ill post the pic up...just to show how much they have evolved. It had a screen print of Destiny's Child wearing military style clothing, next to a quote from one of their songs. oh yeah lets not forget about the target looking circles. Lol that was clearly 2004.

But yeah, to sum it up Basik Art is a prime example of HOW we should attempt to reach our dreams. Stay true to yourself and own up to the principles behind the idea of originality. Success is deemed to follow.

not quite, but damn like j "im feelin it"

its been a minute but seems like forever. the time is near man. patience is a virtue which ultimately leads to all levels of ethical excellence.

If you have been following my blog this should be nothing short of familiar to you. KIRKO BANGZ man. not quite the agitator like our young fellow kurt cobain but the excitement is there. Now, maybe IM the one who's trippin (which i HIGHLY doubt) but yall have got to be sleepin on this man.

Verses that demand the upmost respect while maintaing loyalty to popular demand + Spontaneous exclusives of lyrical explosion = whew.

Now trust me when I say I wouldnt bother to do this if I didnt 'feel' him. Not necesarily because he's my friend but truth be told he is the future. "i aint tryna be the greatest. these niggas in the game, they great, but most of these niggas just aint the latest"

Here is a KB freestyle that I love.

I like this one because it just reflects reality from beginning to end.
